Dyrid mitt is a web solution for pet health records and care instructions. Its goal is to support pet owners, veterinarians, and veterinary clinics with reliable information and simple access to important animal health data.

The website was founded and is operated by the brothers Gunnar Sigurðsson and Egill Sigurðsson. Egill has a background in business and marketing, and Gunnar has a background in electrical engineering and programming.

The brothers grew up in a home where animals were a major part of daily life. Their household included dogs, birds, hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs, fish, salamanders, turtles, and a lizard. Their parents also ran Bergmals breeding, where they had several Labrador litters.

Growing up around such a diverse range of animals taught them early how important it is to keep good records of animal health, treatments, and care. This information is often spread across different veterinary clinics, which can make it hard to maintain a clear overview of medical history and care guidance.
